Please Note

Due to the hand-made nature of the craft, each piece is a unique, one-of-a-kind art piece.  Slight variations in design, glass, texture, and finishing is to be expected and give each piece its individual character.  Therefore, no two pieces are ever alike.

All glass, copper wire, steel wire, and silver chain are in their natural state and are expected to darken over time.  The solder is finished in either silver, copper, or black patina and typically waxed to protect the solder and slow down the natural process of oxidation.  The solder will eventually darken, naturally, overtime, thus adding to the individual character of the piece.

Most stained glass products are held together by solder containing specific amounts of lead (40%). It is perfectly safe to occasionally handle and have in your home when mixed with other alloy metals, like tin (60%). Never wear any stained glass products containing lead. If you’d prefer to use a different solder for your stained glass product, there are lead-free options available for an additional cost. All lead-free stained glass products are made to order. Please contact Chelsea for more information.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

Please DO NOT use any ammonia-based solutions or abrasive cleaners (commercial glass cleaner) i.e. Windex to clean the piece, as this can cause an unwanted chemical reaction which, overtime, can eat away at the lead, filler, or adhesive.

Please DO use either a dry rag or a micro-fiber cloth to simply dust the piece (this is how I clean mine at home).  A soft rag dampened with distilled water (to prevent water spots from developing) wiped over the piece and then dried with a micro-fiber cloth also works well.

Thank you,
